A better way to build patio’s, walkways, retaining walls, athletic courts, putting greens and more!

At Brock PaverBase we just didn’t believe that the “dig a hole and fill it in” philosophy was necessarily the only way to build a patio. So we took our proven Performance Base layer technology that was originally engineered as an artificial turf underlayment for safety, and set out to design it for use under patio stones and pavers. We had been replacing stone bases under artificial turf for years, for the NFL, NCAA and your local high school.

So why not use the same knowledge and materials and apply them to your home? It was created in 2010, and since then Brock PaverBase has been accepted by Lowes, Home Depot, Menards, and Rona since all three want you to build smarter, faster and save money.

Brock PaverBase is an overlapping panel system made from Polypropylene, an environmental material known for durability, resilience, and thermal insulation qualities.

Brock PaverBase replaces much of the traditional base used under pavers. It has been specially engineered for patios and walkways and other pedestrian applications. It’s the same material you find in Tupperware, furniture, cars and hundreds of other useful products.

Brock Base technologies have been replacing the stone base under world class athletic fields since 2004, with over 52 million square feet installed. Now, that renowned product engineering comes to the world of interlocking pavers. PaverBase is the new, better way to lay pavers in pedestrian areas. It speeds construction, makes the site easier to work in, and gives the homeowner the patio of their dreams in less time.

Each panel has a “tire tread” texture to lock the panels into the thin sand layer below. The overlapping edges form a seamless “floor” for the pavers, a floor that spreads the load over the ground to help prevent the pavers from settling. Drain holes allow water evacuation, and the panel dimension was chosen for easy transport and installation. The material can be easily trimmed with a utility knife, so don’t worry about any obstacles. Polypropylene is also an insulator, so it helps prevent against frost heaving in the soils.

Note: It is NOT engineered for driveways or other areas where vehicles are present.

“It speeds construction, makes the site easier to work in, and gives the homeowner the patio of their dreams in less time.”

Brock PaverBase replaces the traditional rock base used under pavers.

Each panel replaces 4-5 bags of the dirt base. If you do the math, it’s less expensive. Since it is so lightweight, Brock PaverBase is especially convenient for backyard patios and paths, where access is often difficult. It’s like carrying hundreds of pounds of rock base with a single hand. Pavers lay down and slide in place easily, so you don’t have to worry about the tedious job of leveling the sand as you go. Homeowners around the country have tried and enjoyed the result of building smarter.
